Homeschool Workshops: Clay Animation (Grades 8-14) 2018

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday April 25

10:00 AM  –  12:00 PM

In this project-based workshop, students learn the basics of stop-motion animation. After designing their own clay characters, students collaborate in groups to produce a short animated film using multimedia tools.

Students work together to develop a story concept, sculpt clay characters, and film a stop-motion animation movie. Clay Animation can be adapted to almost any classroom curriculum and provides an enjoyable learning platform to explore a wide array of topics. For example, students can animate a scene from a play or novel, represent a scene from history, or illustrate a scientific discovery. This engaging field trip cultivates creative expression, communication, and teamwork skills, resulting in unique clay animation movies that students can take home and share.
